Do you want to know why men like to be alone so much? And I don't mean enjoying lone hobbies or interests, I mean taking a long time in the bathroom or lying down gazing into the void. It's simply because that's when we get to be weak, when we get to be vulnerable. It's when we can stop the act, drop the facade, take off the mask. It's when we don't have to be strong, tough, confident, stoic, in control. It's when we get to feel sadness, frustration, sorrow, pain. It's when tears can flow and the storm within can rage. It's when we can feel sorry for ourselves, be mad at how we keep getting mistreated and unleash our emotions without being judged or looked down upon. It's when we can be all the things society doesn't allow us to be. We value those times, we need them. And we want people to at the very least respect that. Now you know.
